Tranny issues aside what would the majority of you guys do:

Supercharge and run a small shot of NOS?

or

Just run a humongous shot of funny gas all together??

i agree with UMD that both of those stuff "kills" your car, its like shooting your own foot. you are going to have fun now but then its going to get you later and even if you want to get rid of the car nobody is gonna buy it off you because you have a supercharger(in another words bad engine). A supercharger cuts the life of an engine by almost a half or even more if you put the NOS. I would never put a SC, but i would put a turbocharger if one gets out.

deng i didn't know shooting yourself in the foot was fun... my cousin's friend actually did that by accident this one time.. he had just purchases a new pistol, he posed infront of a full body mirror, didn't realize that the safety wasn't on, lowers his arm and BAM, shots off his own dear toe

damn that really sucks,

psing23 - you can always remove it but if you leave it their a long time the engine will eventually start making problems. Even thought lets say you have 40,000 when you take off the supercharger(lets say you had the SC for 20,000) the engine will feel like it had 80,000 miles.

Some people don't care putting a supercharger but it creates more heat which ruins the engine so i won't put one in.

And Turbo won't??

You have Auto, better off with SC, avoid that power surge, plus our compression ratio is too high to put a high boost turbo in anyway!

i disagree 2001SE...

if you dont boost all the time and take care of the motor it doesnt cut the life in half. and there isnt a number how how much a blower or turbo will decrease life by. There are plenty of turboed guys running 100k plus of hard miles on their motor and still going strong.

MaxTuner, you can go a low boost turbo setup and itll be very realible as long as you set it up and tune it good.

I agree totally turbo95max.....if you tune the system and run a good air/fuel ratio the engine should last just as long as a regular motor. The key is maintenance...you take care of the ride, the ride will take care of you!

I have never seen any proof whatsoever that a correctly tuned SC does anything more to the engine than being bone stock.

For instance, after talking to Nissan NA, my SC in no way voids my engine warranty, as long as I have Dyno plots showing my A/F Ratio is within spec....
