I believe they cost $70. But you'll have to reuse the brackets...

You can get a full setup (with the brackets) from Cattman, but it'll cost you $260.

exactly! No more wheel hop (for the most part) and the car feels more solid and predictable.

its worth it...i have it on my car, and stiffer engine mounts also allow better engine response...now the engine is completely solid when revved, it allows better pick up...theres also no more of that "bucking" action when lugging the car in 1st gear...everything is very solid...

as for racing, yes theres almost no more wheel hop...

If the mounts are bad, can the existing material be torn out the existing bracket and replaced with another type of compound that can be "poured in" and left a few days to be set or cured. Sort of an alternative to buying new mounts or inserts.

there is a slight vibration at idle...IMO, its not bad at all...nothing like a real race car...and plus the small vibrations will let you know EXACTLY whats going on with your engine...i've had times where the engine was misfiring, knocking, etc....you can immediately feel it...and then you can go diagnose it...as opposed to soft mounts, where it might not pick up those irregularities

And you only replace front and rear, no need to bother with left and right, correct?
Someone wrote here that Autozone has ES mounts...

Correct, just front and rear are to be replaced. Bear in mind you are replacing the inserts, not the entire mounts, although replacing the entire mounts but with the ES inserts is easier (but more costly).

The ATs have electronically controlled mounts that are different from the MTs. If someone with a MT replaces their inserts, its highly unlikely that it can be reused, let alone by someone with an AT. I could be wrong, but from my experience at least, the stock insert is pretty much always damaged/destroyed during the removal process.

as far as AT's are concerned. the only difference is in that wire, that by unplugging it, you will get the CEL. although, if you do the swap like the MT's, and just get a cable tie, leaving the harness connected, you shouldn't get a CEL. the reaction from the harness is what tigthens up the motor mount. it shouldn't matter that it's not inserted, moreso that it's at least plugged in so the ECU thinks it's functioning as such.

4 total.
2 support the engine
2 more suppor it's movement

you don't need to swap the first 2 as they do nothing other than hold it up.
