Has anyone cleaned the mass airflow sensor on their maxima? I am curious if it could be done with electrical parts cleaner. I think mine has a buildup of dirt on it. And yes the car did ping with the nissan air filter and no oscai. The car pings with the K&N as well. I live in rural Arkansas and travel on gravel roads on occasion and I am concerned about the longevity of the sensor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Perhaps you could go back to the stock setup and tell the dealer this since you are saying that the car pings with the stock filter and intake setup.
