greddy evo 2 users come in

hi,

i have an 2002 infiniti i35 and i was thinking about buying a Greddy Evo 2 cat-back exhaust for my car. Yes, i do know the exhaust is for an 02-03 nissan maxima. The i35 and maxima are very similar except for the front looks and the back. I am looking for an deep but quite growl. how does the greddy evo 2 sound loud or not loud? also, i am very concern about interior noise. such as driving on the highway. please don't tell me to go on the exhaust thread because there are many broken links.

If you want it quiet, the GReddy is not the exhaust for you. IMO, the Frankencar cat back would be best for you. It's quieter than the Cattman too.

Please don't....darn near every exhaust available for the Maxima/I35 sounds better than a GReddy...not to mention the terrible fart-can look.

oh, and it's not quiet at all and WILL drone on the Highway....

Go to the exhaust thread... yes, I said it. There aren't just exhaust clips in there, but also many comments posted in there with opinions about the GReddy, Cattman, etc.

The GReddy is loud and will drone on the highway.

just letting you know...Greddy itself isn't a bad sounding exhaust...its especially the EVO1 & 2 lines for the maxima....it has one TINY itty bitty resonator on the freakin bpipe!! coupled to a straight through, big can style muffler...

I can't speak for other vehicles, but I'm sure other cars with their Greddy EVOs turn out decently good...its sorta like sayin INJEN intakesblows...even though their CAIs for other cars work great (sounds great too!)...it's just the Maxima INJEN intakeblows

it is noisy, but not insane loud. i have had it for 2+ years and i think it is fine (had to get it cause my stock exhaust needed replaced cause of rusting). it does drone from about 2k-3k rpm levels.
the 'rice' that people describe about a car could be and often is associated with this exhaust, to bad is what i say. it is quality, no ifs ands or buts about that.

I have the Evo II and I love it. I drones a little on the highway but it's not as bad as some make it out to be. On the other hand I have my entire interior dynomated out.
When I installed my y-pipe it really opened it up and the noise was a little louder but again it's cool. As far as the can, it looks straight if you have a rear lip other then that it looks huge from the sides. I don't know if they make a rear lip for the Inifiniti so take that into consideration.

IMO its probably because the SP2 looks and sounds better than the Evo. Some 5th Gens had the old SP on em and those looked pretty good.

i was thinking about buying the greddy evo 2 just for the pipes and put on an apexi ws2 muffler on instead of the big can. what do you guys think? How is the cattman exhaust system? is it much better than the greddy. As in sound and performance. does the cattman exhaust drone on the highway.

Then why not just buy a Cattman b-pipe and then have an exhaust shop make an inlet pipe for the Apexi WS2? The resonator on the GReddy b-pipe is tiny anyway.

Performance wise there is barely a difference between cat-backs for these cars, sound wise, it depends on what you want and what you like, see here:
