After some thread searching, there is not much about 5th Gen indiglo gauges for your clusters. Does anyone recommend a good place to get them? Most web sites I've seen for for 4th Gen. I am getting bored with my stock ones and looking for a change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can find the indiglos on Ebay. They only seem to have the ones for the '00-'01's. Good luck finding ones for the 5.5 gener's. Those are rare and hardly exist. The indiglos aren't popular in the 5th gener's. Most of us consider them being "rice" (including myself). The SE guages are far most the best guages at night anyway.

If you are going to risk putting indiglos on you might as well dor something else, i.e. Polargs or LEDs.

Take it from me you dont want indiglo's. It is widely documented on here that they start deteriating very fast after install. They have this contact film over them that warps and seperates This has happened to many of the people in here as well as myself. I would definately recommend doing the LED mod since I will be doing that soon. The indiglo gauges do look nice at night and in my opinion do not look rice (I will say during the day they might lend towards rice). However, I get complements all the time about them. They just dont last.

After seeing Metals interior I went with a LED set up. Definitely not as intense and detailed as his but the job came out nice imo. You really can't tell from the pics but it's straight.

I haven't seen one except for what Metal did.

I just kind of "winged," it. I took the cluster apart and went from there. All the LED's I used came pre-wired and I got them from Pepboys. I used the power source from the cigarette lighter since I have no use for it. I still have to add two more to the cluster and I am going to put two in the center and outer vents.

Linkage? I normally don't care for these things, and my stock SE gauges are fine for me, but they are looking a bit dim, and if I have to open them up for a bulb change, might as well go for an upgrade.

I have a question metal. When reading over your polarg retrofit I noticed you stripped the backs of the gauges. My question is did this cause the gauges to look different during the daytime? I am talking about they were see thru or anything like that. Thanks for your time and contributions here.

Negative. You cannot see anything behind the gauges are the white film keeps eveything covered.

Thanks for the info. How long did it take you to do teh polarg retro? Also how can you take off the speedo gauges in a 5th gen if you cant take the needles off. Thanks again.

Polarg retro should take about 4 hours for EVERYTHING, that includes taking breaks to post, smoke a butt, and have a cup of coffee.

There are many different ways one can take a needle off... the 5th and 4th gen needles twist off (check the 4th gen stickies) whereas the 5th and 5.5 gens with the silver faced cluster can be safley pulled off thanks to a much more robust design.

I REALLY like that look! Everytime I get into a newer Honda/Acura/VW I always think "I wish my max looked like that!". Method 1 is very doable to me. THANKS for the info! I havn't looked into this yet, but another cool feather would be to have the lights in the cluster on in the daytime as well. Again I havn't looked at an electrical schematic yet, but maybe you know is this easy? I would imagine simply running an ACC or ON signal to the lights would do the trick.
