6 in dash cd changer for 2000?
I'm sorry I know this has to be posted somewhere on here but I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know if a 6 in dash cd player from a 2002-2003 maxima will fit a 2000 maxima? the one i have now is a bose but i dont have the rear bose subwoofer. i have to change the one i have because the cd player is all screwy and I thought i might as well upgrade to a 6 in dash cd player.
thanks

How can you have Bose without the subwoofer? Are you sure you have Bose and not the regular Clarion system? The HUs look exactly the same except the Bose has the Bose logo on the cassette tape door. Unless you did a custom install, I'm pretty sure that the Bose system was not an option on the GXE Max.
Anyway, if by chance you do have Bose already in your car, then yes, the 5.5 gen CD changer will work in your car. Just be sure you get a Maxima HU and not one from an Infiniti I35. Although they look 99% identical, the I35 HU is slightly wider and will not fit in the Max.

Yeah that's what's wierd. The cd player says Bose but I dont have a subwoofer. I haven't messed with it and i bought it like that, but not from the dealer, used in 2003. Now I dont know if I have Bose or not. I purchased the 6 in dash cd player from a 2002-2003 maxima but i just want to make sure i wont have fitment issues and that if the plugs in the back will connect to the new cd player.

The plugs will connect and the unit will fit fine, but I would make sure that you test the unit fully before putting your dash all the way back together. If it turns out that you do not have a Bose system, the HU will power up, but you will get nothing out of it. Good luck!
