Stupid Vent trim piece, trying to install radio

How do you take it off? Kpazzo's(phil) has a 'how to' but it seems that the darn piece won't budge. I put the vents open and can't get my fingers in there to 'yank it straight out'. I did manage to pull it up a bit but thats about it. Does the piece come straight towards you or straight up or on an angle? Thanks!

Or you can stick a flathead screwdriver around the sides and pry it up... Realized that you could remove the vents without removing anything else.

Grab n' yank. j/k

That's what you do. Get you fingers in the slots, and pull out with a very slight upward angle. It will sound and feel like you're breaking something, but after the first time, everytime you pop it out thereafter will be easier.
