Need Help

Dash board meter lights are dead. Also when I turn on my headlights, my OEM (Not Bose) Stereo's light dies also. Does anybody know whats going on? Where is the fuses? I found some in the engine bay and some under the steering wheel but none says anything about dashboard light fuse. HELP

yep everything is fine except the dash board lights are dead (with the headlights turned on or off) and the stereo lights (what track number I am on and how many minutes the CD has been playing screen) die when i turn on my head lights.

could be your battery dieing down...if it was a fuse it would have been completely out of power with no lights. i am not sure as you said the car does start it can be something else beside battery. but i believe its not fuse.

your amp is sucking all the power i guess....try to unhook the amp and see if it reacts the same, otherwise your battery is weak or you are having loose connection wiring. you may have messed with wires behind the stereo while installing amp.

Take it back to that amp shop where u bought your amp...and explain them your problem as u said it happened cuz of the amp. or have your amp installed from any electric shop and next day go back and complain about your electric issue. u will save money with dealer.

alternator. That problem seems to be the most common right now: Irish, then me, then about half the 5th gen forums....

Do the lights brighten when you rev your engine? If so, then it's probably the battery. If not, then it's probably the alternator. People try to make things too difficult now when diagnosing a problem.
