ok...ok....so i got my fogs to work great!!...however, it seems that my foglight housing gets fogged up with some kind of residue when i ran them initially!! is this normal??..i have drilled the back housing for the wires to pass thru and siliconed it for a good seal...both of my foglight housing have this cloudy looking residue on the inside of them. has this happened to anyone?

I would assume that it's from the heat of the bulb on the cheap azz plastic inside. Not to worry though... You should be alright.

Orgullo,
I thought that HIDs operate cooler than halogen bulbs? My lenses were clear before I out the kit in plus that is a brandnew assembly! I am ordering new asemblies from eBay because my passenger light is a lot worse than this one. Just want to make sure that this doesn't happen in my new assemblies.

Clean the inside out and apply some shaving cream to the lenses to prevent fogging. No joke.

did you get any silicone on any areas that get (realy) hot? silicone can fume and fog up lenses.

Are you sure it isn't just some simple condensation?

They are cooler but hot none the less. I thought you were refering to the reflective part... not the lenz itself. Next would probably be what the Dr. said. I'm not sure man...
Before you buy new ones you should try and clean them again and re-seal them. That's a lot of money for trial and error again.

clean them up, dry them real good, get into a walk-in fridge with the fixtures and re-seal them with some high-temp Silicone Sealer. Leave the fixtures in the fridge for a few hours so the air inside the fixture has the least amount of moisture possible. only do this if you're nuts or a manager of a fast food place. in theory, it'll work best.
