is this possible??????

I have noticed that my 2k A/T max has been losing signifigant top and bottom end..

I noticed this high pitch sucking sound from my pop-charger intake (sounds like a big air leak in a tire) but it stops exactly at 2500 RPMs,

Then when I give it WOT the RPMs shoot up to 5000 and you can hear the VIAs open, and the RPMs move very slowly to 5800-6000 where it finally shifts.

Now heres the really strange part; The car is not really accelerating???

Is it possible for the torque converter to not be transferring the power to the tranny? can the tranny slip without a noticable high rev in the RPMs and a thunk into gear?

shouldnt go bad after 11k frank. I would suspect apossible vaccuum leak somewhere in your system. that can also cause a loss in power. any other symptoms with it? the high pitch around 2500 rpm is normal in maximas with the popcharger, I get it too.. possible torque converter as you said too ( more so suspicious that it is torque converter than anything else).
