I need a new exhuast....

Well, I have been thinking about it, but now I really do need a new exhuast. I dont want to spend more then $600, and I wanted to do from the converter back. Any ideas/prices??

Nah, I would rather just do an exhuast. I was thinking about the Cattman one for $699. Thats perfect for what I need. Does anyone have this? How does it sound? What about dyno numbers?
EDIT: Would I still pas NY emmisions??

i got my catback for 250ish....yup its on ebay but i got mine from gd on here...i have to say i am very impressed with it...looks like a greddy but isnt...i actually put it next to a greddy on my boys 5.5 and i think mine sounds better. its a #1. for 300 installed u kinda cant go wrong. flame away

two very valid points below...
ill try to get a sound clip but that prolly wont happen...
dyno #'s would be nice as well however i only have an intake and the cat back so right now the mods dont justify dropping cash for a dyno.

the best md is to do the y-pipe taking away two pre-cats converters and changing ur cat for a high flow cat! !!!!(a stainless stell y-pipe will run u 250us$ and a high flow stainless cat 65 us$ the labour shouldn't be more than 150$us totaling 465$ with money left and gains are about 18hp or 11whp!!)
i've done those mods and did a dyno 9-14whp 14 was the maximum gain!

First off if you buy off ebay, well you'll get what you paid for. If you want a nice exhaust get the cattman period. Second y-pipe get minimal gains for both the 2000-2001 maxes and also the 2002-2003 maxes AS BOTH OF THESE CARS STOCK Y-PIPES HAVE PRE-CATS AS DO THE STOCK HEADERS. The main difference is the 2000 which some wheren't cali spec and didnt have the header pre-cats.

WTF dude i think i paid 250 from warpspeed for both the y-pipe and catalytic converter. Do the labor yourself its EASY plus you know you did it right and not some retard. Look through the stickies and how to's on the forum first.

I've got the Cattman setup (y-pipe replace, stock cat, and Cattman cat-back) which works great, doesn't sound too ricey, and is high quality, but it is more expensive. If you are interested, PM me for sound clips and I'll try to get some with my roomie's camera.

Good luck with the replacement!

P.S. - SuperStasiu, I love your sig!

just get it custom done by your local muffler shop. I got a warpspeed 2.5 y pipe and then a high flow 2.5 cat and 2.5 all theway back with a nice big resonator and a flowsound muffler. Really nice and it was all nice n cheap
