So I just picked up my car from the body shop.....it was the end of the day, so there was just a secretary left.....but she told me there was more structural damage to the car then originally thought, and that they will collect from my insurance company...

But ive already noticed just driving a few miles....the car is definitely louder than it used to be....plus when I shut the driver door...it makes an odd noise...as if its going to shatter and fall off....you can hear it from inside and outside of the car....... its sounds awful.

I'm bringing the car back to the body shop tomorrow...but I'm assuming they will give me a hard time? has anyone else had to do this?....its so obvious the insurance company should have totaled the car.....

That sucks! Sorry to hear about your Max...I don't think they would claim it as totaled. I actually had an accident similar to this, but instead of a deer it was a truck. I rear ended this truck (looking for a street) and it buckled my hood, radiator and all the fluids came out. I thought I wouldn't be able to drive it off the road, but it started and I moved it. I thought it was going to be totaled, but it actually came out cheaper than I thought. And now it runs really well. Haven't had any problems since the accident.

I hope your incident has the same outcome mine did.
