This applies to A33 5.0 gens build before may 25, 2000

I couldn't find a post for this. My trunk lid scrapes the bumper where they come in contact in the closed position. I've seen this on many other 5.0 gens. Anyone went through repairing this? I know I have to get 5 of these clips (part no. 85284-ad501).

Is it a pain to do? How did you remove the rust and repair the paint damage?
--wet sand then repaint? A quote from a local auto body shop says it could be close to $350

mine does it, but I don't really care enough to fix it....my paint has alot of scratches .....
