Yes I searched....tire question 235/50R17 vs 225/50R17
Now I would like to think I know a little about tires. Currently I am running 235/45R17. I am down to 4/32nds of tread and winter is coming. I want to go back to 50 series tires as I am older and dont care as much about performance as I do comfort (I know it doesnt make that huge of a difference, humor me) but I like the 235 size.
Should I have any problem going fom a 45 to a 50, after all it is the ratio of the width of the tire to the sidewall height. According to the miata chart I am only altering by .2 inches from what the 225/50s are. I have been running the 235/45 for almost 3 years.
Your thoughts on moving to the 235/50 from the 235/45 on the OEM rims.
