TCM question

I have pretty much decided that I need to replace my tcm in my 2000 max. I know they are linked to many tranny problems especually for my year. My current situation is after some long driving third gear in the auto is a little shakey and if I drive the car really hard for a while sometimes it has more difficulty catching. My question is, I am going to pick up a tcm off a 01 in a junkyard. However, I was wondering does anyone have pics of it(I searched)? I know it resides behind the middle console, but I wanted to see exaclty what I am pulling out.

Why are you targeting the TCM? It does NOT have a history of problems.

For 2000 maxima's they do have a history of problems. Read some of the tranny threads in here and you will see it mentioned. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=490498

The TB was initially for only certain VINs and when they were relatively new AND the valve body was replaced FIRST. Unless you've got a TCM on the cheap then I would check out the tranny first.

Yup. But on a high mileage car it could be a problem with the basic tranny (clutches, etc) where a new solenoid valve assy. won't fix it. It could also be something simple like a damaged "O" ring that only now decided to leak.
