5.5 gen rim offset?

Anyone know what the offset is for a stock 5.5 gen rim? I have an oppertunity to buy a new set of rims but I want to make sure they'll clear my 6th gen brakes. If they don't clear, I'll get spacers but I really don't want to.

BTW: search is down, so don't flame foos!

Rims have a 42 mm offset... gonna be close! Hopefully they'll clear, but I doubt it.

The new set is 42mm offset? irish44j's Bronze set are 42mm,and they cleared his brake set-up (00/01 caliper w/A34 rotor not same as yours but food for thought) it depends on the style of the spoke design too, not just the numerical value.

no, my bronze 5zigens are a 35 offset, and they are 8" wide, not 7.5 like George is looking at.....

btw Nmex....george actually owns my old all-6th-gen BBK (rotors and calipers and pads) I sold it to him when i went to the Z32 setup.

I personally would never buy an aftermarket wheel for the maxima narrower than 8" with more than a 35 offset. I like the flush look to the fenders. That's just me though

I'm getting rusty here people ....

Anyhow, I agree with the 8" wide deal. I have some +45 17x8's and they clear much better than the stock 7's..Also have them coupled w/15mm spacers in the rear and 5mm in front. Gotta love the flush look. But even before the spacers they cleared the bakes with ease.
