when i take off sounds like there is something rattling around in my exhaust pipe, any ideas??? only when im taking off or rolling off a stop sign

 

you might be low on oil, check your oil

 

i just did my oil change the other day and still hearing it

It also might by your cat. After 115,000 miles on my Max, my cat is finally shot!
When I roll to a stop is when the rattling sound comes along.

 

See if you can hear it at idle (crawl under and have someone rev the engine a few times) Listen for the rattle, or any exhasut leaks (poofing noise) If you can great - easy to identify. If it only can be heard under load (aka - while driving) than most likely the baffeling inside either the cat or the muffler is bad and rattling.

 

The same thing happenede to me and i found out that it was caused by a hole in the pipe of the rear section.

 

I had a loose heat shield above the cat that caused a rattle. Just had the mechanic tighten it up and haven't heard boo since.

 

That what i thought, common. good to hear you had a simple fix.
