My FSTB arrived today. The invoice says Maxima 2000, but the box is stamped Maxima 99 on the end. The bar itself has no markings that I can see. Courstesy is closed now. I was wondering what the group's experience is before I call them tomorrow.

I would check the website to see if the part numbers are the same for a 99 Vs. 2K. If they are, it is fine, if not, call em. Or, just see if the thing fits, they are pretty adjustable.

Just FYI, the '99 FSTB is 4th gen, the '00-'01 FSTB is 5th gen and from what I've gathered, the 4th gen bar requires some cutting while the 5th gen bar fits perfectly. I would double check on exactly which one you have.

had the same thing when mine came in. i figured i might as well try it since i had it and it fit fine. no cutting or anything. it does touch an air sensor but nothing serious.
try it out and see. probably okay.

You got it. I love that book/movie. Hunter Thompson is hilarious.

Actually, I think the '99 and 5th gen are the same bar. The strut towers between the two models must not be different.
