speed sensor wire

I need help locating the speed sensor wire, wether next to the ecu or behind the tach, which ever.

I am hooking up a pioneer double din navi and i need to tap into the speed sensor wire.

Thanks

Maybe someone else will look it up or knows where it runs. Comes from the tranny. Not sure why a speed sensor would need to go to a deck anyways... Here is a pic behind the dash. pin # 17 or 62 goes to the gauge, assumably from the speed sensor... Tap into those 2 wires with an ohmmeter and see which one changes resistance in relation to speed change.

cool thanks man, the navi has to hook up to the speed sensor to get a more accurate idea of exactly how fast the car is traveling and the direction and etc...

but... it's navi. Shouldn't it already know that? Seems a little dumb to me. In fact, when I got new rims and tires I used the navi on my phone to make sure the OD was still the same as the OEM set-up by compairing my speedo to the navi speed.

Wow....

pink with blue stripe behind the instrument cluster. On the brown plug. Good luck.

(you would have gotten better luck in the audio section)
