Is it possible to add the memory seat option

My 02 GXE does have the power seat, but does not have the memory seat option. Is it possible
to add the memory seat function. Has anybody tried it, or know what is involved. TIA

im not sure if it'll work. Im assuming it should since IIRC, 01-03 all use the same connectors for the drivers seat. I'm pretty sure, because I have a 2000 and what I read somewhere is that 2000 has different drivers seat than all the other 5th gens and I was unhappy. Wiring + door panel = memory seat? I want to do this too, so hopefully someone thats nows can chime

You dont want the memory seat. It is F'in retarded on a Nissan/Infiniti.

I thought the seat would return to a flat state when you turn off the ignition and when you put the key in it would go to your preset seat position (like a lexus)

No dice. Doesn't even do that.

Plus you have to put the car in park for it to function. By the time I realize my knees are up under my chin (after my sister drives my car) i'm already down the block. So I have to pull over and press 1.

F the memory seats. Pretty soon its gonna be F nissan too. lol. I'm fed up with this nonsense.

JUST COPY LEXUS. IS THAT SO HARD TO DO???

Say what? The seat does move when you insert your key and does retract when you remove it. If your sister drove it, when you get in, press whatever preset it is and the seat will move.

Are you sure your seats are set to Auto? And they are properly set?

LOL, that would explain the no retraction and the knee to chin then, enjoy your car.

there is a memory control module (computer) that controlls the memory then you have to get the button on door and then the one on dash. Preety sure wiring should be there. Not worth it if you ask me

You'd also have to buy a door panel with the cutout or cut your won doorpanel, which can easily be messed up if you don't know what you're doing
