Question concerning replacement of Coils

Well yesterday I got SES P0300 and decided to make an appt. for this wednesday, to a dealership on Cape Cod that had good recommendations. Just wondering if anybody that had mods like me, (I/H/VAFCII) had the same problems and got it serviced at a dealership. Did you have any problems for them to work on a modded Max?

Also I have the o2 sim that I think is pretty close to the front coils. Will they look at that and decide not to work on it? Also the o2 sensors that are being simulated are just zip tied, so they are visible. Should I try to hide them some how?

Also did someone that has an extended warranty have the whole services covered? Any problems?

Any input would be appreciated, Thanks.

i believe an o2simulator is used only to replace the downstream o2 sensor. I THINK. also, i dont RECALL ever reading a thread where 5.5 gen had a problem with coils...

Take a look at these how to instructions, which is a good source for changing the coils. I think this is common problem with the 5.5 gen, from the threads I have read.
