How do I take off my brake lines?
I have new ones to go on. It was easy to take apart the part that goes to the caliper, but the other part seems to have a round connection. I am doing the rears btw if that matters.
I am stumped. How do I remove the old line, from the bent metal line?
Thanks.
Greg

Well i work for a Nissan Dealer bud as a service technician....
Spelling and knowledge are 2 different things. Mind you English is my second language.
BTW i would rather advise ppl. to leave brake lines and master cylinder repairs to certified techs. Do you guys have any idea on implications of lawsuits? If anyone 's brakes fail, that second party will come after you and sue you. They will ask you where you did your new shiny lines and paperwork. Guess what you'll say?
I am in the trade and have seen enough cases.
Pads and rotors are straightforward but hydraulics not bled properly could fail in panic stops. A second party's lawyers will examine your vehicle. Then he will get an expert to come to the trial who will most likely be a professor at a college that is licenced. That means you're screwed.
So make sure you guys do your brakes right, and torque your wheels cause the moment you have mods you'll have a bulls eye on your back
Excuse my spelling dude. But hopefully i have been some help.
Better be safe than sorry bud!
