iintrument cluster compatibility question

ok, here goes my problem.

i have a 2000 GLE auto with TCS. Very early production model, i believe 4/99.

i had my instrument cluster modified by adding polarg white bulbs, very bright and nice indeed.

however in the process ALL the needles got FUXXED.

Gas shows more.
Speed shows less.
Tach shows more.
Temp is always sky high all the way up.

so i decided to shop for a SE cluster with TCS (nearly impossible to find). i want a SE cluster because the white faces look a lot better than the all black GLE.

as far as i'm concerned, both 2000 and 2001 instrument clusters are backward compatible.

anyways, i got a 2001 SE with TCS. (maybe it's a AE, seller was not 100% sure).

i got 3 problems:

1) now, every needle works PERFECTLY exept the Temp. Temp is totally dead, it doesn't move at all.

2) TCS does not work (when i push button to disengage, it doesn't ligght up).

3) ABS light stays on indefinitelly.

can anyone PLEASE help me?

did you disconnect the battery when doing the swap?

I read that on TT.net that if you dont disconnect, abs will come on.
