I have had a few questions regarding the method I posted earlier about calculating your 0-60mph times from your 1/4mile or 1/8mile timeslips. I did the math and simplified it a lot.

If you unzip the attached file, you will find a spreadsheet that you can enter the numbers from your timeslip and it will automatically estimate your 0-60mph time. Maybe we could somehow incorporate it into a website (either on Maxima.org, or possibly on 5thGenMaximas.com)???

Lemme know what you think about it.

Desert Pearl,

I think I have seen you at Firebird Raceway. Anyway, I just bought a SE (Icelandic Pearl) and in your sig. it says you have a stock muffler. Did you just change the tips on you car, because I like the dual tips you have. Is your car an auto or 5spd?

Yep, that was me. One of my earlier mods was a custom cat-back with a Greddy muffler. I really liked the look and sound I had with that setup, but when I installed the Y-pipe, it was too loud for my taste. So, since we knew from others dyno runs that the stock muffler wasn't a big restriction, I reinstalled it with a couple of tips, which made it look 100% better than the crappy curved tips on my stock muffler.

Adam, I'm not sure when I'll be able to make it to Firebird next. I am curious to see what Zach will run with his CAI. If we plan it a couple of weeks in advance, I can be sure to be extra attentive to my wife and baby, so she'll let me go. Oh, to be back in the good ol' days when I actually wore the pants...

Desert Pearl, I am in the same boat right now! I am going to be a dad soon, so my track time might be limited. I would love to hang out one night at the track, as well as run my new car as a virgin .. How many Maxima owners are in the Phoenix area that are on this site?

hasn't happened yet...if i can get a launch like i had on my last run last time we went to the track, i should run a 15.3 or so easy (when my engine is cool)...my engine was too hot to touch on that last run...but we will keep trying...i actually want to trade cars for 1 race w/ a 5spd and see how each of us does...you up for it alex?
