Shock sensor? Is this for a car alarm?? If so that would vary depending on your alarm manufacturer. Why not just tie it in parallel with your front shock sensor??

Hey:

I have been thinking about this for a long time. How did you add the shock sensor under the hood? Where did you get the sensor from??

Any "how to" information would be useful for all of us!

(sorry that I can't answer you orignial question about the trunk)

I bought two shock sensors off ebay for like 10 bucks and just mounted it to the fuse box. I ran a constant a constant power to the small fuse box next to the battery and spliced in to the hood sensor. The colored wire is the one I spliced in to. And the ground goes to the frame. It not to bad to do. Just make sure you dont make it to sensitive. Trust me!

Wow.. that sounds like a nice solution to the incomplete alarms we have. I wonder if a perimeter sensor would work same way.. maybe not because it is 2 stage.

Thanks fot the tip.

The only way I can think of off the top of my head is to tie it in parallel with your front shock sensor. I could be wrong, but i'm guessing there aren't extra ports on the stock alarm so this is the only way I can think of to do it.

If you get a good shock sensor and mount it to the steering column then you don't have to mount one in the trunk.
If not then you will have to connect it to the same spot you connected the front shock sensor. Because if you connect to the trunk switch it will turn on the trunk light everytime it feel a shock. (ie. eveytime the bass hits, driving down the road) that will bugg you after a while.
Just make sure you diode the two shock sensors.
