2002 gauge Cluster in a 2001 Maxima??

Well I bought those gauge faces from import intelligence and let me tell you horrible product they are stickers you put over your existing gauges and then they dont even match up to the numbers oh the speedometer. Then you gotta deal with the bubble underneath. I just want to switch to a 2002 gauge cluster. Is this a direct fit or do you need to do some modifications.

I actually think the harnesses are different. I think i read in some thread that the molex connectors or wiring were different.

The 2k2-2k3 guage clusters are different from the 2k-2k1's. First, the faces in the 2k-2k1's are all seperate, individual pieces whereas the 2k2-2k3's are one whole piece. Plus, the stock faces in the 2k-2k1's are SILVER in color, not white. Second, the wiring is totally different between both years. The plugs are of different size, and it would require alot of splicing and getting a wiring digram to compare them. The 2k2-2k3 guages are much more complex than the 2k-2k1's. Overall, it may be possible, but may be too time consuming and too complex. Not worth it.

They have all kinds of indiglos on Ebay for the 2k-2k1 clusters. There are 3 different kinds from what I can remember. One with silver faces, and two kinds with white faces.

If Nissan was going to make it that complicated, then too bad they didn't just go ahead and put in the electroluminscent guages like on the I35. The 2k2's look almost the same when lit as the 2k1's, and even have the same layout, so whats the point of making it more complicated?
