Have yet to install the Umnitza Angel Eyes but have tested them out by connecting the ballast and touching ground and the positive terminal. I noticed that the larger of the two rings shines significantly more dim until a couple minutes of it being on. I called Umnitza and they mentioned that sometimes this happens but I wonder if this should always happen. I want to make sure that nothing is wrong with these before I do the install. Any help please? Thanks

You might want to look for threads with the e46 angel eyes. In those threads there were LOTS of members complaining about the quality of Umnitza's angel eyes.

if its cold outside they will be dim for a bit until they warm up.

Yeah I just got the E46 angel eyes, and for 20 bucks if they go out withinn a year no big deal. The e46 look much more durable then the DDE.

If the ring was cold then that is normal. If it wasn't cold ask Matt if you can get a replacement ring.

Can you point me to a particular thread where people are complaining about their Umnitzas? I did a search and I didn't find really any posts riddled with complaints.
