Well I went out tonight to a road where we street race. Alot of people showed up and it was a blast. Well I was working out some problems with my car so I wasn't planning on racing. And then this little punk kid called me out. He was in a GSX Integra 5spd with all possible bolt-ons. He runs a consistent 14.6 at the track. So I knew I would have to get on it good, so I decided to power shift the auto with the N2O. I lined up and we were off, I ended up beating him by a good car length or so, but right as we started to slow down at the finish I heard a loud pop pop and the rpms died. I drove the car back to where everyone was standing and the car was having serious problems. A guy that has a 240 told me to just turn the car off and wait about 5sec and then crank it up. So I did and I'll be damned it worked. He said that I threw the computer into a safety mode or something?!?!

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Do a search for "limp mode". This is the experience when the brain of the car thinks something is wrong and goes into safe mode. This is the state in which the driver can drive the car, but could "limp" to someplace that can fix the problem.

I noticed that under your sig that you have "ajusted TPS" in the transmission section. What does that mean?

No..

I haven't made it back to the track. I don't want to go back during the day when it is so hot. I am waiting on a cool clear night to go out there and make a few passes so I can get a best time.

Well I haven't had any problems so far since allowing the car to reset itself, so hopefully all is well.

Adjusting the TPS (throttle position sensor) is something that had to be done in order to get the ZEX to work. And after doing this it has made my tranny have a little bit snappier shift from 1st to 2nd, and from 2nd to 3rd.

How do you adjust the TPS?

Had that happended to me..no pop pop noise, the car was sputtering and put put put'n on the road...dam it was embarrassing! It happened after a speedometer calibration test at an AAA office. Reset computer, no problem since.

Anyhow, great kill on the Integra in front of so many people....you now have newfound respect on your Max!

Ok man, we all know you had a blast, but sometimes, its very unsafe for you to drink and drive. Or perhaps, crack and drive!!!

Okay, look, you said GSX Integra....ummm, what the hell? You meant a GSX Eclipse or a GS-R Integra?

You also said you "power shift" the automatic. Did you mean you manual shift the automatic? Because you can only power shift manuals which means you change gear while flooring the gas.

Also, what the hell is N20? Did you mean nitrous? i thought nitrous was called NO2. Maybe I am wrong on this.

BTW, good nite! Have some rest and you will be fine.

N20 is nitrogen dioxide, which is a highly poisonous that would not work well in your car. I think car emissions spew nitric oxide, which turns into nitrogrn dioxide somehow. Any chemists out there to calrify.

NO = Nitric Oxide (reacts with water to form Nitric Acid HNO3, reacts with air to form NO2)

N2O = Nitrous, Nitrous Oxide, Dinitrogen oxide, Dinitrogen Monoxide, Laughing Gas

NO2 = Nitrogen Dioxide

Ahh! Just look at what the guy posted above! (refer to my reply above), the guy is on crack! He said he saw the GSX Integra and he also said that he power shifted his automatic!

Who in the hell does Lovesick think he is..

Yes I will admit it was a typo on the gsx it was supposed to be a gsr integra. And yes I did power shift the auto. This is done by dropping down to the lowest gear and then manually shifting it up with the pedal to the floor the whole time, call it what you want! And yes it is N2O, if you would shut your ****ing hole in class you might learn something.

Lovesick-- Do me a favor, take one hand and stick it in your mouth and the other and shove it in your a$$. I do believe that I have heard about enough from you.
