A paper cut??? I would have to lose a finger or something to not go out and put them in.

You are better then me, I just couldn't have waited. Especially after the loot spent in getting em. Great job... can't wait to see em in.

Looks good man. And Sucks about the paper cut. I once got sliced in the same area by one of the blades of an aluminum blind. 2 stitches FTL. I know it's not something to scoff at.

i'll get night pics tonight or something...so far i poured water onto the car and headlights and no fogging so that's good i hope. next time i'm going to use oem headlights for the retrofit i used depo ones this time and the passenger side has a small gap on the bottom and the driver side has a tiny gap on the side. but so far i'm happy

Really clean work but I have to be honest and say that I'm just not feelin it. Maybe it looks better in person, I don't know. With that being said I'm sure that the output will be great.

alrite alrite lol

i drove around and can't find any place to take pictures of the cutoff so i had to do it in my parking space =/ i still need to adjust it a bit

oh and here's the funky turn signal which has a projector lense on it lol

having such a sharp cutoff is very distracting i keep staring at it =/ it's super fun driving behind chrome bumpers

Definitely has a nice output. I'm with you though when you say you're not feeling them. To me they make the max look "googly eyed" or like those stuffed animals with the eyes that bounce around...bad analogy i guess.

Anyhow in the end, as long as you like them then thats all that matters. Good work and thanks for the pics.

They look funny, would look better if you put the projectors in both the low beam and high beem spots.

It looks like somethings missing.

Looks like it has good output at night tho.

I think it would seem more appealing if the projector bodies were recessed some more. IMO it currently looks like your max has those tiny swimgoggles or those shades you use in a tanning booth on it. Do you have pics looking AT the front of the car while they're on? Light output looks spectacular. I would love to see what they look like on a dark stretch of tarmac.

haha they do look like goggles now that i look at them O_O but ya they do stick out quite a bit because i wanted to reuse the back covers on the headlights to seal up the stuffs. they could have made it sit more flushed with the rest of the headlight but then i think it'll stick out on the back and not able to reuse the cap thing.

i'll get some better pics later...driving at night is actually fun now lol ya output is tons better compared to my stock hids because stock only goes out like 20 or so feet then dark up ahead...with projectors i can aim it more straight forward without blinding people and the light reaches farther down the road. on my previous car i had a retrofit that looked similar goggle eyed i just put some eyelids on them and it helped a lot. but i don't want to put eyelids on my maxima

wait you do have HID's right? Cuz those lights look awfully yellow in the upclose pics.

Do you have any shots on a open/flat/dark road so we can see more of the light projection/cut off?

those are hids...they're brand new bulbs that's why they are so yellow lol i'll have to drive around with them for a month or so before it colorshifts...maybe even longer to get it to be whiter. i'll try to find an open stretch of road to take a pic.

here's one output shot...i'm sitting downhill so the lights are pointed down that's why it doesn't go so far. on a straight road it goes pretty far down the road...

looks whiter here

and to skylinedl69...i bought my projectors from a member over on hidplanet for $180 shipped i think.

Actually, I would be interested in someone doing the crazy new Q-ship projectors and/or the new M projectors in the headlamps. I wonder how insane would that be? I think I'd have to make slots and use a chunk or rebar welded to the frame so nobody could jack those puppies :P

For light output, they look amazing. I'm with what others have said, the projector housing looks out of place in the maxima's headlamp. Once you play around with mounting depth and get it to look clean it will look a lot better.

I just wish we had a write up which shows exactly how to measure the projector housing against the headlamp and how to cut away the material.

Still, I'd kill to have those just the way they are.

Blackbird, want to hook up a fellow org member with a cheaper than market price TSX projectors? I am looking to get a pair of the 04-05s with the clear lens.
