Quick EZ-Pass questions

Morning all, I just got my easy pass transponder in the mail (right in time for the holiday)

I put it on last night at the top of the windshield behind the mirror. One edge is flush with the mirror and the top edge is flush with windshield meeting the interior.

I did it last night and noticed this morning that that area is behind the factory tint on my '02 gle.

The instruction warm of placing it behind tint.

Does anyone have a EZ-Pass transponder located where mine is?

Do i have to worry about the tint?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

When my EZ-Pass is in the middle console it is still picked up by the booths clearly so I would think tint would not affect it whatsoever.

so long as the tint doesn't have any special reflective properties to it, it should be alright.. I know my uncle's old S-class had a specal coating on all the windows and there were designated squares on the windshield behind which you had to place devices such as those.
