Spark Plugs

I hope I don't get flamed on starting this thread but would understand if I did...

I checked the FAQ but did not search. So here goes:

I've changed my spark plugs on a previous car. I'm not sure I did them right. Basically swaped them out. I'm not sure what else is involved other than diong that? Is there any issues with timing or anything like that?
Even though I just bought my car I'm thinking of putting in new plugs but would rather not fug with something that is any more complicated than taking out the old ones, putting in the new ones and driving away.

So I guess a very basic How-To is appreciated.
thanks

It's a fairly easy process. Just take the old plugs out, put the new ones in. I put some anti-seize compound on the threads, some dielectic grease on the opposite end of the plug and torqued it to spec (make sure you do that, as you do not want to strip the threads).

The hardest part for you will be accessing the rear bank since you have a 5.5. There's a walkthrough floating around somewhere.. I'll see if I can find it.

Make sure you use the proper plugs as well.

There are no wires to worry about or anything like that.. plug and play!

There is a write-up in the stickys titled '5th gen how to's'. Also, there is a thread on this page (page 1) of this forum (5th gen) labeled 'Spark Plugs Choice' with a link to that(sticky with write up) in that particuar thread.

The 5.5g requires that you take the intake manifold off. Very easy, just sounds difficult.
