Question about one touch up/down windows
Question about one touch up/down windows
Ok, i have a 2001 maxima and i only have one touch up/down for my driver side window. I noticed the 2002 has one touch for BOTH windows?
I want to know if there is any way i can get the one touch feature for both of my windows it doesnt have to be one touch capable for the passenger side, but i would like it for the two front windows on my side? is there some type of module or adapter that i can use?
i did some searching and found a module by DEI called the DEI 530T1 that is supposed to be a one touch module or something?
but im still a bit in the dark
thanks for any help

It's all in the switch and part of the wiring of the power windows. But, the driver's switch and passenger side switches of the '02-'03's don't work in the '00-'01's for this very same reason. I'm not sure if anyone has gone this route, but I'm sure it's possible. You just need the wiring scheme from both sets of years and compare the two and maybe swap out the switches. As far as the DEI module, this is used on their alarms. The 530T is used to power the windows in TWO directions...up AND down. The 529T module is used to power the windows in ONE direction only...either up OR either down, based upon your own preference. I believe you cannot use either module on our stock alarms because they feed off the frequency of the DEI alarms. I had a DEI Viper alarm in my '95 when I had it, and I wired the 530T module in it. Very useful module, because I could have the windows go up remotely, or have them go up as soon as the alarm is armed (if they would happen to be down when the car was shut off). Or, I could let the windows go down via the remote. I hope all this info answers your question somewhat.

yes you can do this tilleys in annville has all of his windows powered by one touch up or down. all you have to do is go to a good alarm shop and tell them what you want to do because i'm doing the same. my guys in philly do it for about 300 remote up and down or one touch up or down from switch and all doors in car are capable of one touch switches
