Digital Temp Control not working like it suppose to...any ideas?

Well i was just wondering if anyone else notices this and if something is wrong with a heat sensor or something similar....ill just turn on regular air and if i turn the heat up (digital) there isn't a difference in heat from the lowest up to 84....once i hit the max 85 then it turns really hot....it doesnt get warmer as i increase the temp...any ideas?? thanks!

same here

there's actually a way to test the temp sensors....

as soon as you start the car (within 2-3 seconds) hold off on the auto temp control until a number appears.

I forget how to cycle through but i use the temp dial and defrost some others... anyway, it has a real time digital read out of temp sensors and one of mine was frozen at 131 deg F. Thats why mine doesn't work... same exact issue though.

then look up which sensor it is and replace it.

peace

it's a bad "Intake Sensor" (what Nissan calls it). the sensor is at the downstream end of the A/C condensor under the passenger dash. The replacement sensor is about 5 bucks, but it is a MAJOR PITA to install....

so, i could only find the sensor for 34 bucks it's a lot more expensive elsewhere, but rock auto has it for 34 bucks.... where is it for 5?

TRURIDA18

i have no idea, but i found it here, no it won't mess anything up, if you turn the dial it jumps from like 2 3 41 51 and then i recently found 61 i think .... but one tests vents (maybe 41) and cycle through with a button i forget which, but no i never hurt anything, i don't really think you can. oh 61 changes temp correction up to 6 degrees + or -

i played with it for a while to find out how but try anyway.
