I have a hissing intake problem. When ever I cruise it's the worst. When I say cruise I mean mantain the same speed. It's so bad that I can't drive with the driver's windows down. It is pretty loud. Does anyone ahve the same problem. It almost sounds like a worn brake sensor. PLEASE HELP!!

 

What kind of intake is it?

Mine does that too between 0-3500rpm. It is normal for the intake...shouldn't be crazy loud though but it can be heard easily. Check your install again and make sure everything is tight...check your filter be sure it is on tight and looks in good shape. Otherwise it is just doing it's job!

 

I've done the install three times with two different intakes. I have a stillen and Jim wolf. I thought that it was stillen's over priced intake so I went out and got a Jim wolf, but same darn NOISE! I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I know that I did the install correct. Your problem sounds like mine too. Only at low RPM's.

 

I have a Place Racing CAI and I have the hising noise too. It is normal because my friend has an Acura Integra with a Intake and he's does it too, I wouldn't worry, just do what "phatguy" said and make sure everything is tight. Good-Luck

 

Everyone seems to have that with their intakes....even the OSCAI does it...

 

I have a 3rd gen SE with the stillen intake and does the same thing at certain rpm's. Kinda like it. It sounds like Darth Vader coming at ya!
