Diffrence between aftermarket rotors?
Diffrence between aftermarket rotors?
So I am in the market for some slotted rotors, and I am looking online and I see a bunch on ebay, from brembo, to I rotors, to power slot, to no names. they all offer the zink coating, so now it is just a matter of what’s the difference? I mean is it so substantial to really merit me paying more then DOUBLE to get a name brand? I don't get it - help me understand.
here are a few links to support my question.
-----no name brand---- (what I want to buy)

-----I Rotors------(package)

----Brembo---

---powerslots---- front only, rears are another $178

In my opinion buy Brembo BLANKS and get Hawk HPS pad or EBC pads.
The Drilled Rotors have a tendency to crack and slotted for a Daily Commuter is overkill and USUALLY for looks.
Stick with blanks and a nice pads to stay away from material transfer

Yeah.... thats really not the answer I am looking for. In fact, the first sentence in my post said I am getting slotted rotors. I am already aware of the issues that go along with drilled rotors.
What I am asking is what is the difference between these rotor companies i listed. why should i pay double for essentially the same object. thanks.

i have powerslots on my car, and i love the way they feel. They dont rust or anything, they look exactly the same way they did when i first put em on.
i would stay clear of the NO NAME ROTORS, simply because alot of manufacturers buy brembo blanks or some other blank and DRILL OR SLOT THEM themselves.
I'd say go for the powerslots. Also if you dont TRUST EBAY here is a site that is 100% legit that will even allow you to price match if you find them cheaper somewhere else on the net, HOWEVER I THINK EBAY AUCTIONS ARE EXCLUDED.
