I got mine on autolumination.com so I don't know where else you can find them. But yes, the size is the same and they are plug-n-play (if they don't work, flip them in the sockets to get the polarity correct).

a few LEDs

i tried coloring the bulbs with a sharpie...just spend the 10 bucks and do it right. like some other people said i hooked up the led bulbs where ever i could in a few minutes because i didnt have much cash either. so satisfied with how they look now. i changed em about 6 months ago. start by crackin open the drivers area per the instructions floating around-

new vs. old

here is the before pic of two coats of blue sharpie on the illuminated key ring when i got impatient after i put in the gauge lights

it looked worse than that pic

here it is after i got the inverted led bulbs from china...i got a blue and a white for like 2 dollars..i know cameras play some tricks but this is def the blue led haha . where the hotspot is is where the protrusion enters the body of the ring, its not that bad in real life

if youve never seen the actual ring, it has a little protrusion the stock light box shines light in i presume to bounce around in the plastic. after replacing the bulb, the bulb clearly was having problems, but i just used a bit of tape to "aim" the led, and hold it pointing right into this protrusion, which made the ring noticibly a lot brighter sorry i didnt take a pic of this

the inverted 194 leds were quite cheap something like 5 dollars for 10. there are obvious hotspots in the photo but less obvious in real life and so much better than that green i didnt care. the doors are insanely bright and light up the entire inside of the car from behind the seats as you crack the door.

this picture is digitally corrected and looks like it does in the car save for the white parts which are the less pronounced hotspots.

Go there and then it's the fifth bulb down (the $7.99 superstars). I got the white ones.

if you want the exact look, id ask that guy, but as is my understanding the inverted bulbs throw the light across the surface instead of narrowly out the top. my post was in general, since the instrument lights would def look different with narrow angle regular leds

Did you get any of the tabs to come loose? There are three tabs total, one front two back, and it is quite possible to break them! Just pull firmly but steadily and it should come out.

Those three little tabs you're seeing just hold the trim together, there are three big tabs that hold the whole assembly into the dash. Get the front one up first, then apply pressure to the sides to get the back ones out.

That's weird. Is it a deep red or just kinda pink? Did you cut the dimmer wire?

I just got different kind of cellophane, yea the first kind I tried looked pink like cause I think it was too thick. It looks better now.

I didnt cut the dimmer wire. If I do what will it do? does it just prevent the clock from dimming when you put the lights on?

Yeah that's what it does. The clock's a little brighter than the rest of my dash lights now, but I'm getting LEDs for my gauges so I'm hoping it'll all match.

so which mods have you decided on? I just ordered some AE door sills from courtesy parts

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Code=A33-769B1

I don't really like how the 2k1 "Maxima" script doesn't match the 2k2 script, but I'm thinking about de-badging my trunk anyway, so oh well.
