replacing PCV valves makes any diffrence?

I nearly got 120k on my car and my local mechanic chage $50 to replace pcv valves. is it worth having them replaced or just leave them the way they are, and does replacing them makes any difference in performance or anything? and how many pcv valves are there?

there is one valve and you need to change it.
if its clogged you can get to much pressure in the crankshaft which can blow seals.

I just did mine a few weeks ago and I think I noticed a bit more of a smoother idle. I also got an oil change done so all together, I noticed a bit of an performance booster.....or maybe just back to the way the car is suppose to run lol

You think you can let us know if you notice any improvements? I have 83k on my car and thought about changing out my PCV also.

so far it feels the same no big difference but i believe the main reason to replace the pcv valve is clogging of the air flow into crankcase etc. mine wasnt clogged but i still replaced it to be on the safe side. bought one from autozone paid $4.50 and it works same as OEM. i got 01 max so it was not hard to remove the old one and install the new one back on. heres a trick when you remove the old one just pull the hose where the valve is connected without removing the clamp and the pcv valve will pop right out then just put the new one back on hose clamp it and stick it back in the hole with some pressure. and make sure to remove the other side of the hose too so you can have good grip. this can be done without using the pliar. using the pliar can damage or drop the valve. goodluck.
