Problems getting NAV CD to work
I just bought a NAV CD on eBay, but can't get it to work. When I have the disc in, I get the error, "CD-ROM is an invalid version".
It's version 5.4 for the right MCA. What's the deal? Is there some setting I should change to make it work?
(yes, I know about the OEM CD swap thread)

Need more info...what car is the Nav in? 96 I30? What MCA? I didn't even know they made Nav systems that far back.
Anyway, there is an upgrade disk that goes with higher versions (5.3 and up maybe??) of the Nav disks. So if your base system was using a 5.1 disk and you are going to a 5.4 disk, you may need the "upgrade disk" as well. I don't have specific info about the upgrade because the PO had already done the upgrade before I bought it but I know he mentioned "the system had already been upgraded". I'm pretty sure it was just a software (CD disk) upgrade.
