HELP with dents

I have a couple of dings on my front fender (above the wheel) that I wanted to get out on my own without taking it to a body shop. Just pretty much wanted to "knock" it out, so I need some suggestions on the best way to get rid of them?

if they are small dents take off your fender and get something hard and flat aganist the back of the fender and use a hammer to bang them out. may not come out PERFECT but will make them better in most cases.

take it to someone who does PDR (paintless dent removal) they massage the metal and slowly work the dent out. Just another thought.

I've seen these tools that have 3 suction cups and the center one is put over the dent and you screw it out and it pulls the dent out. Cost around $60.00 and are supposed to work great. I've never used one but have thought about buying one.

I would highly recommend that you find a good Paintless Dent Removal company. I've used them for years, and have had PERFECT results everytime. If you do it yourself, with hammers or whatever, you can expect to have poor results, and possible worse-than-before condition of the effected areas.

PDR is great, as long as the paint is not broken/cracked. If the paint is cracked, then there is the possiblity that when the dent is removed, the paint will flake off, or if it doesn't flake off, then it can (eventually will) hold moisture under the paint and cause the underlying metal to rust.... Any competent PDR guy will be able to tell if the paint is cracked/broken. FWIW, some PDR shops won't make the repair if the paint is broken or won't warranty the repair.
