SIDE MIRRORS swap
here's my question...
the 07 altima has LED turn signals, would it be possible to swap those on our cars? i haven't been to the dealer to check them out yet. i wanna know what you guys think??...

aren't there some mirrors on ebay that fit the 5/5.5 gen and have LEDs in them?

NO they don't even match ,you would have to do alot of mods or fabs to make that work.

The altima ones are nice but you'll never get the fabrication done for those to look right unless you pay the cost which is way more then what it's worth. The base will not fit at all do to the point it makes where as ours is rounded off.
The only thing you coud do is "try" to mount just the mirror itself to the oem base. It probably wont work either but hey... good luck.

Those don't look too bad, although I'd much rather have body color than the S4-style chrome. I'm putting my $140 towards a Stillen RSB though

go for it i say it's maxima.org this is what we do. we do mods that people think can't be done and tell about it......don't hold back check it out

Ok, seriously. This isn't high school, get off your high horse and stop making distinctions between newbies and veterans, as if it really matters. We're all here because we like Maximas, so who cares if you've been here since the dawn of time and have 5 bazillion posts to your name. I've seen how you post, soonerfan, and probably half of those come from flaming newbies. You used to be noobs too, so stop expecting everyone to be impressed with your sense of entitlement and just talk about cars.

im not a mod...but this thread will get locked.
i dont expect newbies to respect me but those that dont get their feelings hurt actually realize that i know plenty about our cars. people like you would rather cry about getting treated a certain way than actually learn something

To the person who started this thread if a side turn signal is your ultimate goal then a front marker rewire to come on with the turn signals is a possible option if you have a hard time doing the mod with the new Altima mirrors. Other choices of mirrors you might want to consider to do some measurements on to see if they might fit are the ones from the 07 VW Passat and the 07 Subaru Legacy with this option. Nice idea though and if would be nice if you got one to fit with little modifications so that it would look like stock. Good Luck.
