I have a 01 maxima with 76k. Havent done a tune up since abour 50k. Recently I noticed a drop in performance. Less acceleration and you have to depress the pedal more to get to the same speed as a diff maxima same year. Also when at idle the exhaust seems to make a sputtering sound.

 

Obviously it couldn't hurt.

 

tune up is recommended on 100k. what you can do is replace the MAF, replace or clean the air filter. clean the TB. replace the PCV valve. then you can go ahead and replace the spark plugs if none of this boost up the power.
