Windshield Wiper Issue

I feel like an idiot for even asking this, because I know it's reallllly damn simple, but how the hell do you get the wiper blade assembly off the wiper arm? I've done several searches, including good 'ol Google. I've tried to simply push down on what I thought was the release mechanism, but for the life of me I can't get it off.... Any suggestions? And yes, I did read the manual and examined the pretty pictures... *puts on his flame suit*

lol, I actually agree with you. It took me a long time to try and figure it out too and I almost gave up. Sorry I can't be much help cause I'm at work and I can't get pics.

Its actually pretty easy now that I think about it but it took some time to get off. There should be a tab on the wippers where you push away from you and it should slide off but on the passenger side pull the tab towards you if your on the passenger side of the car. Thats what I did but it did take some time.

Hmmm... OK, so if I'm standing on the driver's side beside the tire and looking at the wiper as if I'm in the driver's seat, there should be a tab on passenger side of the wiper arm (once it's been raised up) that I push towards the driver's side...? That's what I did, but nothing would ever move. I tried using pliers to push on the tab that way, but didn't want to break anything. Now, it's raining again and some new blades would be damn nice...

alright I was looking at it wrong. The tab is on both wipers. Don't follow what I said above.

"there should be a tab on passenger side of the wiper arm (once it's been raised up) that I push towards the driver's side...? " Don't do that. Do the opposite if your going to do that. Pull the tab towards you and pull the wiper and it should come off
