Hey guys I need assistance with this. My mom is about to join the Maxima nation(2000 GLE 78,000mi for $8800).
The car belongs to a friend of mine who's wife just died. I converted her to Nissans away from that H da company. Unfortunately she only got to enjoy the rush of a Maxima for about four months before she was diagnosed with Cancer. 30 days later she was gone. During that time my mom totaled her Avalon. That is where I came in, my friend is older and has glaucoma and can't drive. He's selling it to my mom and the Master key is lost and the only key left is the valet key. What is the most cost effective (cheapest) way of getting a master key so we can access the trunk and glove box?

 

go to the dealership.
and who used the key to open the trunk? (use the key fob or lever on the inside)

 

My mom uses the key to open her trunk. She's still old skool.

 

sorry to hear about your mom. i think the stealership might be your best bet on getting the master key.

 

You can go get a key made at the hardware store that will open the trunk and glove box.

I'm pretty sure you have to get the ECU programmed for any new keys or NATS (nissan anti theft system) will kick in not allowing your car to start.
