I dont know if anyone will know what i am talking about but i will try anyway....
about a year ago while messing around on google i found a pic of an automatic max that had changed the shfiter to look like a manual tranny...anyone know who that is and how to do it....I think it would be a cool interior mod.

Its in the sticky'ed HOW TO: threads, it should be under AE shifter or Anniversary Edition Shifter

 

i dont think that is it...the one i am talking about made the shifter look like manual shifters with a shifter boot and all... it looked like it came stock....i know about the AE but i dont think it is worth it.

ok so i dont know if it will work for a 2k. on2k2 models there is no shift release button on the shifter like on the 2k. anyone know how to bypass that.

 

Do the AE shifter mod, then you put a boot under it

 

all i did was buy the leather boot for the ebrake and shift **** for about $30 both from custommaxima when they were still ok....

pop off the center piece by taking out the ashtray and removing the screw and then poping the tabs all around
unscrew ur stock shift **** and place the leather boot over the shifter
once the leather is placed like u want it put back the center piece pressing hard around the leather so that i goes through and pops back into place the center piece will hold the leatehr in place then buy a shift **** of ebay or courtesyparts ( i got one off my buddy a 6spd) and screw that on to finish off the look and ur all set
