Adam, to tell you the truth there is nothing at all to screw up. Removing 4 screws on the steering column, then remove 2 in the gauge cluster that covers it up, pull both those off, then remove 3 more screws around the gauges, pull cluster out, disconnect 3 wire connectors, and snap off the clear cover on the gauges...really easy, stick these on really well, centered, and put back together same way....

I did these also and found the install more challenging. On 2001 Models their are five screws under steerring column. You also have to disconnect 4 items on cover cluster including digital airs return line. Finally the clear plastic covering is extremely small and brittle. I did learn how to change the green key bulb though!!!!! And the two smaller rings are much bigger and do not seat where they should. They were 50mm and should be 48mm. I just hope the glue (black silicone) holds as I do not want to go back in !!!!!

Mine is a 2001 I had no problems. Yes 5 screws I meant, not 4. Also, I just disconnected the mirror control and light dimmer from the left side, then flipped the cover over to sit in front of the radio without disconnecting the temp sensor. 3 screws around the gauges, came right out. The 2 rings are SUPOSE to be bigger the guy said. There isn't enough room next to the needle to let it sit inside.

48mm would have worked perfectly and fell into recess and not touched needles. These rings are obviously from another package and adapted for 5th Gens.
Use the search function and put in gauge rings.....you'll find the seller under another posting. SYCEFIRO was his id and he charges 65.00 currently.....

I think a 48 may have been a tad too small. It is an odd size. Two MM doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it could make a difference in tight quarters.
I tried crimping (bending) the inside part of the gauge ring as an alternative to sanding(eg Dremel), but to no avail. Those rings are tough!
The small rings can sit on top and not fully seat but I had visions of them popping off and rattling around my gauge cluster. If that were to happen, it could get tangled up in the needles and what not.
