i am very new to forums, in general. i am struggling with a weird thing that has started happening about 1-2 months ago on my 2000 SE. intermittently, while in 4th gear, it pops out. it does not happen if i am steadly accelerating to 5th, but when the speed varies a bit while in 4th. doesn't happen all the time. i bought the car end of may.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

 

work on finding a way to replicate it, so the dealer can be shown. It might just be an adjustment, but it should go in right away for service I would think. If its able to pop out, then it might not be fully engaged in gear when you think it is. I would think this is hard on the gears if left like that. Good luck.
