I was bored and was looking at reader reviews of the 2k when it came out and a lot of people complained about it needing to be run on premium gas. I must admit that I don't put in premium all the time because of high gas prices and etc., but what are the cons of not putting that in as opposed to unleaded or unleaded plus?

Well i dont get how much you save not useing premium, i mean at 10 gallons you'll save what like 2 bucks?? I have over 110K on my car and always ran premium when i tried running anything less the car felt like crap boddy excelaration was sh!te. Just my opinion

your car will start to ping and retard the timing
in the long run, you dont pay that much more

 

I filled my car with 93 octane 9/10 times I filled up. Then when I had my timing advanced I made sure that it was 93 every time. I just moved to New Mexico and can't find anything higher than 90. I've only got about 1500 miles on the 90 octane, but I am weary about driving any more than just back and forth to work. Does anyone have any advice for what to do? I even tried to locate someplace that sells 100 octane and mix some in with every tank full.
