Regular Oil Change at 5000 km or 3100 miles
Fuel Injector Service
Flushed Transmission Fluid
New Bosch Platinum Plugs
New Air Filter

I drive roughly 40km/25miles on hwy at 120 km/h avg or 75mph and 10km/6miles city per trip.

Temperature varies from -25C/-4F to about 5C/41F and I have new winter tires on with 32-35 psi always

If I drive normally ie. regular acceleration (shifts at ~2500-2800rpm) i only get 15L/100km or 15.68MPG and if I drive as slow as possible (shifts below 2000rpm) the best I ve got so far is 12.5L/100km or 18.81MPG

When I drove last time from Toronto (where I live) to Detroit with 5 people, I've got 580km per tank at 125km/78mph cruising 100% of time.

Is this normal?

i am saving your post as a reference for metric to english converions BTW, give us the air press in kPa

nope,.. you need to take those crappy BOSCH plugs out and put in some NGK's,.. alot of people will agree,.. this car doesnt run right on those plugs,.. spend the 60ish bucks for 6 new plugs and you should see that money back in the better MPG you will get. . .

NGK's? When I bought the Bosch Platinum's few months ago, I saw the NGK's and they were about the same price. I thought Bosch was a better company. (so I guess I was wrong). And anything else that can possibly cause it?

bad pcv valve,... too much oil in crank case,..not enough oil in crank case,.. wrong type of oil in crank case.. bad plugs,.. bad gas,..bad weather,..maf on its way out,..honestly it can be anything.. but seriously look into getting those BOSCH plugs out and putting NGK;s in ,..

,...someone back me up on NGK's > BOSCH

on a side note of that NGK (plat/copper/iridium) vs. ______ thats a whole different battle

also.. for better MPG try drafting behind big tractor trailors on the highway , . ....... . . .

I guess I havta swap those Bosch's out and get the NGK. Now I'm convinced that Bosch's are crap. But could that be the only reason why others are getting ~24MPG, and mine is around 15MPG?

look into a new PCV valve (4 dollar part from autozone) and a 10ish minute replace,...yours could be clogged,...and if neither NGK plugs or PCV help its MAF time ,.. after that if you really wanted to get at it you could try to replace the fuel filter but good luck lol,...
