Cold Air Intake

Now that the Place Racing CAI is no longer available...what would be a suitable replacement for a 2000 max?

there isnt one.
and its debatable if a CAI is any better then something like a berk intake.

Berk is the way to go - and sooner is correct - there isnt a "cold air" intake..not anymore..and go with the APEXi filter, that way you dont have to mess with the oiling and cleaning that others filters require.

not saying you shouldn't go with the berk, but wow are you easily persuaded, do some homework instead of just agreeing with what other people say.

sounds amazing...nice deep growl over 3K RPM.
i had it on my 00 and the sound wasnt even close to what it is on the 3.5. it was nice, but not as deep or loud.

above 6K? you must not get to hear it for very long with the rev limiter.
its loud right between 4 and 5K..then again right at 6K.

Yeah. Its weird though because i can take the rpm up past 6500 and once i almost got to 7000. ive never hit the limiter in over a year of driving the car, and ive been above 6500 more than a few times

I don't see any good reason to leave this thread open because this topic has been discussed many times before, and yes, even recently. PM me if any of you think otherwise. Thanks.
