Spring question

I am on a market for springs for my car. My friend is selling his real cheap. am i taking any risk on buying used springs or are they as good as new. Thank you.

they will be fine. i know plenty of people (including myself) that are using used springs with no problem. springs really dont wear out like struts

what kind of springs are they? Stay away from cheap, no name springs

im using h&r's up front w/ 2k miles on them, (new h-tech rear) and from what i understand they ride better than new! it is important that the springs settle to your specific car however, so if they go from one 5.5 gen to another you have to let them settle before starting to judge them for handling characteristics and ride quality. just my .02 from what ive experienced.
